The benefit of proper diet and physical activity throughout one's life is
clear - better health (1). According to Professors Evans and Rosenberg (2)
from the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, by adopting a particular
pattern of activity and eating, it is possible for virtually anyone to slow the aging process and maintain functional capacity and vitality for the
longest period of time.
Their research led to the identification of key
biomarkers, which can be used to chart the progression of sarcopenia, the
disease of aging. Bioimpedance analysis (BIA) is a useful tool for monitoring
several of these parameters.
